This event celebrates Native American music, dance and tradition. A FREE fun, family friendly event and Manhattan's only open air powwow, "Drums Along the Hudson" includes Native American dance, music and craft demonstrations, storytelling and festival of world dance traditions that share the drum as live musical accompaniment. International foods round out the festival. This year, we will be honoring Civil Right Leader U.S. Congressman John Lewis and Onondaga Faithkeeper, Oren Lyons, for their support of Native American causes. Come and say hello.

Ramayana in the news

A scene from Pt. Charka's Ramayana dance-drama, performed at the Ananda Ashram in Monroe, NY on the front page of India in New York, a local newspaper, dated March 9th, 2007.
